Dr. Spero Kinnas Appointed Program Chair for the 2017 Illinois Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons and the Chicago Ophthalmological Society Annual Meeting.
Dr. Kinnas was chosen to chair the Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) section during the April 7, 2017 meeting of the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons and the Chicago Ophthalmological Society (ISEPS/COS).
The 2017 meeting will focus on “Frontiers & Controversies in Ophthalmology”.
Dr. Kinnas has the responsibility of selecting didactic topics and inviting ophthalmic professionals and eye surgeons to present lectures on topics of ophthalmology.
The purpose of the program is to provide continuing medical education.
This year’s selected lectures encompass a wide variety of topics. Areas of focus include
- Eye exam preparedness for school exams
- Diagnostic ophthalmic imaging technologies
- Complex optical and pre cataract intraocular lens (IOL) predictions in patients with keratoconus
- After LASIK and unusual ophthalmic features
- Vitreous and retinal evaluations
- & other topics
In addition to COTs programming, lectures will be concurrently presented for ophthalmic surgeons, ophthalmic residents and fellows at the ISEPS/COS. The event will be drawing participants not only from Chicago and its suburbs but registrants are expected from throughout the state of Illinois.
The meeting will be held at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont Illinois on Friday, April 7, 2017.
